A Little Word About me
why i teach
I find that teaching drums is a fulfilling and rewarding experience for a number of reasons. I have the opportunity to share my passion for music and drumming with others, and help students develop their skills and confidence as musicians.
Seeing a student progress and improve over time is incredibly satisfying for me. I find that the process of teaching drums is a great way to improve my own skills and knowledge, and I am constantly learning and adapting my teaching approach to meet the needs of students.
Ultimately, my love for teaching drums may come from a desire to inspire and support others on their musical journey, and to make a positive impact in the lives of my students. I’m so excited to join you on your musical journey!
Check out my band, home is west!
Home is West is a heartfelt three-piece indie-alt rock band with a big sound from San Clemente, CA. After signing a record deal with Mint 400 Records and teaming up with engineer/producer Geoff Neal, Home is West will release their first full length album The Moment on April 5, 2019.
Home is West was born in San Clemente, CA in 2013. They began playing shows at local venues in San Clemente and surrounding areas shortly after. In 2016, KX93.5FM aired Home is West’s song “Leaving Again” which gained more traction for the band. Home is West has opened for national acts such as Fastball, Sponge, and Gene Loves Jezebel, and have been repeatedly invited to play at iconic venues such as Whiskey a Go Go, The Doll Hut, Molly Malone’s, and The Mint all in Los Angeles, CA. Their 2018 song release “Waiting” received FM radio attention and ultimately caught the attention of Mint 400 Records, which signed the band in 2018 to an album deal.
Check out my other band, duende flamenco!
Duende Flamenco is based in Orange County California, we have been
performing all over Southern California since 2005 at private,
corporate, and cultural events. The “duende” in flamenco is the
culminated moment of artistic expression – the moment of passion, of the
coming together of music, dance, and form, that breaks all neatly
packaged rules and barriers. The “duende” touches the heart, excites the
senses. That is what we strive to bring you with our entertainment.
Unique moments that move you, bring you joy.
We have performed at countless venues, including UCLA Fowler Museum, Chapman University, Mission San Juan Capistrano, Casa Romantica, The Ritz Carlton Laguna Niguel, Montage Resort, Nixon Library, City of Mission Viejo, City of Fontana, Newport Beach Arts Guild, Fullerton Arboretum, The Segerstrom Center, Balboa Bay Club, and many others. We also performed for 14 continuous years on stage every Saturday night, at the former Tapas Flavors of Spain in Newport Beach and Mission Viejo until 2019.
